The surroundings
La Villa del
Poggio,

and by the small village of Poggio Garfagnana.
You cannot
miss visiting the small church of San Biagio which is only 100 metres
from the Villa. It is a parish church of 1000 and a jewel of the Romanesque
architecture.
A few kilometres
from the house you can find Castelnuovo Garfagnana with any social service
you may need and its beautiful fortress, Rocca Ariostesca. Besides in
this area you can enjoy excursions in the most beautiful sites of Garfagnana,
such as San Pellegrino in Alpe with its ethnographic museum, the park
of Orecchiella, and towards Lucca, La Grotta del Vento, Bagni di Lucca
and its thermal baths.

of art should not miss the visit to the cathedral of Barga, or Lucca,
Pisa and Florence.
